Getting ready for True North 2027? We’ve gathered answers to some common questions to help you plan your conference experience.

 

Where is the conference being held?

  • The True North Veterinary Conference is being held at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre (MTCC) in the South Building: 222 Bremner Blvd., Toronto, ON M5V 2T6.

 

What hotels are you partnering with for attendees?

  • We have secured room blocks at four different hotels for attendees: InterContinental Toronto Centre, Toronto Marriott City Centre, the Union Hotel, and Fairmont Royal York.

If you are booking more than one room, please call the hotel.

We encourage exhibitors to book their accommodations early, as room availability is limited and is expected to fill quickly.

Is there parking available?

  • Yes, onsite parking is available underground, directly connected to MTCC, with access from Lower Simcoe St., Toronto, ON.  

Can I come to the conference via subway or train?

  • Yes, MTCC is conveniently located on the PATH, accessible from Union Station. Follow signs for the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, Ripley’s Aquarium or the CN Tower.

How do I walk to InterContinental Toronto Centre from the conference?

  • From the 500 level, take the escalator up to the 400 level and again up to the 300 level. Walk around the escalator and travel over the pathway towards the Metro Toronto Convention Centre North Building. Once across the pathway, take the escalators down as far as they will go. You should end up at on street level. Behind the bank of escalators is the entrance to the InterContinental Toronto Centre.

How do I get to Toronto Marriott City Centre from the conference?

  • From the 500 level, take the escalator up to the 400 level and exit into the PATH walkway. Travel along the walkway toward the CN Tower and Ripley’s Aquarium. Head outside and follow the sign to the right for the Marriott. Continue to follow the signs around the CN Tower and Ripley’s Aquarium for the Marriott. You will travel around the outside of the CN Tower and come across stairs/an elevator as well.

How do I get to the Fairmont Royal York from the conference?

  • From the 500 level, exit to the street towards Lower Simcoe Street. Proceed left under the bridge, towards Front Street West. Turn right onto Front Street West. The Fairmont is ahead at the Front St West and York Street intersection.

How do I get to the Union Hotel from the conference?

  • From the 500 level, exit to the street towards Lower Simcoe Street. Proceed left under the bridge, towards Front Street West. Turn right onto Front Street West. Turn left onto York Street. Proceed straight and the hotel is ahead just past Heenan Place.

How do I register for the conference?

How do I download the conference app?

  • Information on downloading the apps will be available in January for both Apple & Android users.

When will proceedings be available?

  • Proceedings will be available on our microsite in January, the week prior to the conference.

How do I register for any of the extra items (i.e., symposiums or social events)?

  • When registering, please indicate your interest in attending any special events.
  • If you have already registered and wish to add a special event on, please email: info@ovma.org.

Is coat check available? What is the cost?

  • Yes, coat check is available on the same level as registration (600 level).
  • There is no cost to attendees for coat check (including outerwear and luggage).

What is on each level of the MTCC?

  • Level 300: Access to the walkway to MTCC North Building.
  • Level 400: Access to the PATH and one reception/symposium room.
  • Level 500: This is the lobby and main entrance from the street. One reception/symposium room is also located here.
  • Level 600: This is the registration level, as well as the entrance from the underground parking lot, and coat check.
  • Level 700: This is where the session rooms will be located.
  • Level 800: This is where the trade show, meals and plenaries will be held.
