Radhika Dirks

Global AI Advisor
Radhika Dirks
  • Radhika Dirks

No one is better equipped than Radhika Dirks to answer both the big questions and the practical considerations about generative AI. She’s been a crucial voice in the AI conversation for years, was named to Deloitte’s top women in the AI world, and has been featured everywhere from Fast Company to the BBC (and many more). She founded and led the only other moonshot factory that exists outside of Google.

In uniquely human, powerfully hopeful talks, she places generative AI in the context of what’s already happened in the AI space and what’s on the horizon, then breaks it down into the strategy and tactics that every leader needs to gain an edge in the AI future. She shows you how the rapid advance of this technology has brought moonshots—our biggest, most ambitious ideas—within reach for everybody. It has never been easier or faster to make your dreams a reality, and Radhika can show you how.

With powerful leadership, Radhika’s Artificial Intelligence includes co-founding Seldn, an AI start-up that accurately predicted the rise of ISIS two weeks before The New York Times coined the term, and her work as CEO and co-founder of XLabs, a moonshot factory for Artificial Intelligence innovations that has made progress towards solving huge problems—like getting closer to the cure for cancer. At Ribo AI, her technology found potential cures for 11 cancers within its first 1.5 years. Today, she advises several Fortune 500 companies and international organizations on how to best use generative AI and AI in their organizations.

Radhika was also a founding member of Shell’s $1.5B venture capital group and was COO of Rotary Gallop, a game theory-based fintech firm. Her work on quantum computing and Artificial Intelligence has been cited hundreds of times. She is the author of the forthcoming book, The AI Laments, where she marries the allure of AI-generated art with the depths of human-generated poetry. She holds a Ph.D. in Quantum Computing and an M.S. in Nanotechnology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Sébastien Sasseville

Endurance Athlete
Sébastien Sasseville
  • Sébastien Sasseville

Sébastien Sasseville empowers leaders to lead with purpose and inspires organizations to embrace change, remain engaged, and win at the long game. An endurance athlete, his extraordinary accomplishments — which include summiting Mount Everest and completing the mythical Sahara race and the toughest ultra-cycling event in the world — are made even more impressive by the fact that he lives with type 1 diabetes. Having held diverse sales roles in several Fortune 500 companies, Sasseville marries his business experience with his extensive inspirational achievements to deliver dynamic messaging on change management, leadership, teamwork, resilience, purpose, and motivation.
Through tackling the world’s toughest challenges and continuously setting new goals, Sasseville made a powerful discovery — what we think is possible can always expand. It starts by setting an impossible goal, taking that courageous first step, and then focusing on that “impossible” goal one step at a time.
Supported by powerful imagery, awe-inspiring stories, and unique accomplishments, Sasseville’s keynotes emphasize the importance of agility when it comes to change and transformation. When we face a challenge, he says, we must accept that we don’t have all the answers at first. But by taking a first step and allowing the experience to unfold, we can often find the answers in the journey. His keynotes also illustrate the importance of putting the mission first when leading a team, as when the mission is more important than individual success, he says, this is how we build an army.
Fully bilingual, Sasseville has been featured in several media outlets including CBC, TSN, The Huffington Post, CTV, Global TV, Radio-Canada, and countless newspapers. He has also spoken to hundreds of audiences across North America helping them to create enthusiasm about business transformation, build resilience, and evolve to win. Past clients have included RBC, Pfizer, Sobeys, Bell, SAP, L’Oréal, KPMG, and Hewitt.

Chief Technology and Innovation Officer
Kindred Credit Union
Nolan Andres
  • Nolan Andres

When he founded PeaceWorks Technology Solutions in 1996, Nolan wanted to create a self-sustaining entity that would help charities and not-for-profits advance their missions through the appropriate and affordable use of technology. He didn’t realize at the time that he was prototyping something people would later call “social enterprise”. The need was obvious, the organizations were doing amazing work, and he happened to know a lot about technology.

Seventeen years later, Nolan made the shift to Kindred Credit Union, and while the industry has changed, his theme remains the same. He still chooses to work with organizations that explicitly strive to create a better world, and was drawn to Kindred because of its purpose. As a senior leader (Chief, Technology and Innovation) in a credit union that helps people align their values with their finances, Nolan works to catalyze positive change and inspire hope.

Nolan is an avid and eclectic learner. He has two Computer Science degrees (B.Sc. – Saskatchewan, and M.Math – Waterloo) and a diploma in Peace and Conflict Studies, and he gets a kick out of a wide variety of things. He enjoys treehouse building, home renovating, repairing landfill-destined items, authoring software, astrophysics, gardening, choral singing, canoe tripping, birding, public speaking, and rollercoasters, as well as anything that involves seeing his wife and/or kids “hitting it out of the park” – which they do on a regular basis.
