Visitors to the Amazon Fulfillment Center in Davenport (MLI1) will experience the high-tech reality of modern e-commerce fulfillment. The tour offers a firsthand look at how advanced robotics and human ingenuity work together to process thousands of customer orders daily. Guests will follow the journey of a package, watching innovative drive units navigate the warehouse floor to deliver inventory to associates. Beyond the technology, this tour highlights how Amazon has fundamentally shifted consumer behavior and the very nature of the waste and recycling households produce. From the initial scanning of goods to automated packing systems designed to minimize cardboard and eliminate single-use plastics, visitors will see how the facility adapts to a new era of home-delivery material management and sustainable logistics.

Linwood: For over 75 years, Linwood Mining and Minerals Corporation operates one of the largest underground limestone mines in the United States. On this unique tour, attendees will board a bus and journey deep into a massive room-and-pillar limestone mine, traveling roughly 250 feet below surface level to explore a subterranean network that extracts thousands of tons of high-purity minerals daily. Beyond the active, high-tech mining environment, this site highlights a fascinating example of modern, multi-layered land management. As the property's primary landowner, Linwood actively leases the surface ground for the regional landfill site. Visitors will see firsthand how a critical heavy-industrial operation and an essential waste-management facility safely, sustainably, and efficiently coexist right on top of each other.
Scott Area Landfill: Tour attendees will do a bus tour of Scott Area Landfill, which is a 73-acre, Subtitle D landfill constructed in 1995. Attendees will be able to view operations from the top down as they stand on 160 ft of garbage to watch the working face and take in the beautiful view of the Mississippi River Valley. Other topics of discussion will be the creative leachate management initiative along with landfill gas well management. Through a partnership with Waga Energy the landfill gas is being beneficially reused as RNG and produces enough RNG to fuel 4,000 homes within Scott County. Attendees will have an opportunity to tour Waga Box technology and discuss well field optimization tactics.

The live auction will begin Tuesday at 5:45 p.m.
Again this year, each attendee will have a bid card (small piece of paper with a unique number) included within their nametag. Please utilize your individual bid card to bid on items during the Live Auction.
