Challenge: Challenge: Energinet needed assistance with implementing a newly introduced budget and forecasting process to align with a new economic regulation decided by the Danish Ministry of Climate, Energy and Utilities. SAP Analytics Cloud Planning was selected as the tool to implement this new process and fundamental change in the financial management of the company. Energinet had introduced a completely new way of creating a base-budget, setting an overall financial framework that included a more detailed forecast to be implemented in a modern planning tool. This framework and process should be aligned among the various companies within Energinet, with further detailed breakdowns in the forecasting process. Finally, a guided process was to be implemented in SAP Analytics Cloud Planning to enable Financial Business Partners to request additional resources beyond their allocated budgets.

Solution: Innologic assisted in implementing Energinet’s new budget and forecast solution, supporting their ongoing modernization efforts. Implementing the high -level financial framework and a detailed forecast in SAP Analytics Cloud Planning replaces time - consuming manual processes in Excel with a clear and structural financial plan across all the companies in Energinet. Enhancing forecasting details improves Energinet’s financial prediction accuracy, facilitating effective resource allocation. This solution provided two key benefits: It provides a centralized and clear budgeting system, while allowing necessary adaptation and enables more detailed forecasts.

Challenge: Challenge: Energinet needed assistance with implementing a newly introduced budget and forecasting process to align with a new economic regulation decided by the Danish Ministry of Climate, Energy and Utilities. SAP Analytics Cloud Planning was selected as the tool to implement this new process and fundamental change in the financial management of the company. Energinet had introduced a completely new way of creating a base-budget, setting an overall financial framework that included a more detailed forecast to be implemented in a modern planning tool. This framework and process should be aligned among the various companies within Energinet, with further detailed breakdowns in the forecasting process. At Nintendo, we were able to implement SAP Cloud ALM in a very short time with little external support, even though we had limited resources and could only rely on the expertise of SAP Solution Manager.
