Jeremy is a Chartered Professional Accountant and Notary Public with nearly 20 years of diverse experience in the financial and legal sectors. Over the course of his career, he has worn many hats, taking on roles as an entrepreneur, auditor, educator, and Chief Financial Officer. His professional background spans a range of industries, including public practice, public sector, technology, real estate, telecommunications, and, most recently, law.
Having started his career at a "Big Five" accounting firm, Jeremy has since worked in varied settings, helping business owners start new companies in Canada, the US, and as far as China. As an entrepreneur, he has operated his own businesses, and as an advisor, he has helped others launch, grow, and, when necessary, responsibly close their businesses.
Jeremy currently resides in Courtenay where he is a partner at Old House Notary, as well as the principal of Old House CPA. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce with a specialization in entrepreneurial management from Royal Roads University, an MBA from Concordia University, and a Master of Applied Legal Studies from Simon Fraser University.
