CE Session 1 - Respectful Reciprocity for Strong Allyship

1.5 CREDITS

Canada is a place that welcomes people from all over the world - which means we have a beautiful mosaic of diverse backgrounds and thus need to be intentional about inclusion practices. Our history is also a deep seeded one with First Nations and Inuit having made this their homes for over 20,000 years and with settlers arriving introducing new ways and worldviews, our shared history is also one of oppression of Indigenous Peoples. This interactive workshop will explore our shared history and Truth. This foundational knowledge will allow us to focus on promising inclusive practices in order to foster strong allyship and will provide the audience with essential guidance on how to respectfully engage with Indigenous Peoples and clients.
