    Heather O'Neill is President and CEO of Advanced Energy United. Prior to adding her role as CEO, Heather served as President for the organization, having previously served as Senior Vice President, Strategic Partnerships, responsible for deepening and broadening Advanced Energy United's relationships with funders and foundations, as well as building partnerships with allied organizations that advance industry growth. 

    Heather has spent her career helping build and grow mission-driven organizations. Before joining Advanced Energy United, Heather established and led the clean energy and environment portfolio at the Robertson Foundation, a $1 billion family philanthropy. Previously, she was Director, Public Affairs, for Danco Laboratories LLC, a start-up women's health pharmaceutical company.  

    In addition to her work with Advanced Energy United, Heather sits on the board of directors for Climate Action Reserve.

    Commissioner McKissick was nominated to serve on the North Carolina Utilities Commission by Governor Roy Cooper for a six-year term commencing July 1, 2019, and expiring June 30, 2025. His nomination was confirmed by the NC Senate and the NC House. On January 28, 2025, Governor Josh Stein reappointed him to fulfill the remainder of a previous Commissioner’s term, which extends through June 30, 2029. Prior to his appointment to the NCUC, he served as a member of the North Carolina Senate for approximately 13 years, where he served as the Senior Deputy Democratic Leader.

    Commissioner McKissick is the son of the late civil rights leader and attorney, Floyd B. McKissick, Sr.

    He received an A.B. Degree in Geography from Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts; a master’s degree in Regional Planning (MRP) from UNC-Chapel Hill, a master’s degree in Public Administration (MPA) from Harvard University, and a Juris Doctor (J.D.) Degree from the Duke University School of Law in Durham, North Carolina.

    He has practiced law since 1984 with several law firms, including Dickstein Shapiro & Morin in Washington, D.C., as well as Faison, Brown, Fletcher & Brough in Durham, North Carolina. He established a practice known as McKissick & McKissick in 1990, where he specialized in Civil Litigation. He has represented Fortune 500 corporations, as well as small businesses and many individuals during the course of his career.

    He is a member of the following committees through the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC): Consumers and the Public Interest, Electricity, Critical Infrastructure, International Relations and Energy Resources and the Environment. He serves as Chair of NARUC’s Consumers & The Public Interest Committee. He is also Co-Chair of NARUC’s-NASEO’s Advanced Nuclear State Collaborative. He previously served as President of the Southeastern Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (SEARUC) which is composed of Commissioners from 11 Southeastern States and Puerto Rico. Commissioner McKissick has moderated panels at conferences sponsored by NARUC, SEARUC, as well as the New Mexico State University Center for Public Utilities, where he is a member of their Advisory Council.

    Christine Guhl-Sadovy is the President of the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (NJBPU). Governor Phil Murphy nominated Guhl-Sadovy to serve as a Commissioner in 2023. Shortly after her appointment, Guhl-Sadovy was named President in September of that year. Prior to her current role, Guhl-Sadovy served as Cabinet Secretary for Governor Murphy, where she spearheaded the creation of the Governor’s Fellow Program, which connects recent graduates and early career professionals to positions in key policy and programmatic fields in state government.

    Before joining the Governor’s Office, President Guhl-Sadovy worked on staff at NJBPU, where she rose to the position of Chief of Staff to President Joe Fiordaliso and advanced priority initiatives related to community solar, offshore wind, and lead service line replacement. Prior to serving in the Murphy Administration, President Guhl-Sadovy held roles at the national Sierra Club, where she worked on state and federal energy policy matters, and at the Planned Parenthood Action Fund of New Jersey.

    President Guhl-Sadovy is a member of the National Association of Regulatory Commissioners serving on the Energy Resources and the Environment, and Consumers and the Public Interest committees. She is lifelong New Jersey resident and a graduate of Rutgers University.

    Emile C. Thompson was appointed to the Public Service Commission of the District of Columbia by Mayor Muriel Bowser in 2021 and re-appointed as Interim Chairman on December 1, 2021. He was confirmed as Chairman on June 7, 2022.

    Before the Commission, Chairman Thompson was an Assistant United States Attorney in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia, serving as a Deputy Chief. He has also served as a Principal Member of the D.C. Water Board of Directors since 2016. Chairman Thompson began his career as a law clerk for the Honorable (Ret.) Herbert B. Dixon, Jr. of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. He also served as a senior advisor to the Mayoral Administrations of Vincent Gray and Muriel Bowser.

    Chairman Thompson is a member of the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners Board of Directors (NARUC), representing public service commissions that regulate telecommunications, energy, and water utilities. He serves as Co-Chair of the Commission Chairs Council, which provides a forum for Commission Chairs to discuss pertinent issues that affect Commission’s nationwide. In addition, he serves as Vice Chair of the Committee on Critical Infrastructure and is a member of the NARUC Committee on Energy Resources and the Environment. He serves on the Advisory Board of the Financial Research Institute and the Critical Consumer Issues Forum. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Organization of PJM Staes, Inc., and the Advisory Council of the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) Board of Directors.

    Chairman Thompson graduated from Morehouse College with a degree in Computer Science and minors in Math and Biology. He obtained his law degree from Wake Forest University School of Law.

    Born in Washington, D.C., Chairman Thompson resides with his wife and children. He is active in the D.C. community, serving as a board member of the Abramson Scholarship Foundation and a former board member of the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Washington. He is also an adjunct professor at American University Washington College of Law.

    Amisha Rai oversees Advanced Energy United’s policy and advocacy operation with a focus on maximizing the organization’s reach and impact on the ground, developing and building out both new and existing programs in the states. Prior to this role, Amisha expanded United’s footprint in the West, including setting the strategy for United’s work to establish a Western RTO, and spent years leading the organization’s efforts in California. She also spent several years in Sacramento as a lobbyist and policy advocate on energy issues during her time at the California Chamber of Commerce.  She has extensive experience advocating in front of state lawmakers and regulatory officials and has spent time working on policy and statewide campaigns.

    Judge Hudson is serving in his first term at the Virginia State Corporation Commission. In this role, he is one of three Commissioners regulating utilities, insurance, state-chartered financial institutions, securities, retail franchising and the newly enacted Virginia Health Benefit Exchange.

    Prior to being elected to the Commission, Judge Hudson was Vice President of Government Affairs at the National Hydropower Association. He was a regulatory practitioner for 10 years managing public policy issues at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, where he held several roles including Director of Government Affairs. In that role, he worked closely with attorneys and policymakers to carry out the agency’s mission to assist consumers in obtaining reliable, safe, secure, and economically efficient energy services at a reasonable cost through appropriate regulatory and market means, and collaborative efforts.

    Judge Hudson currently serves as the second vice president of the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC). In January 2024, Judge Hudson was appointed as chair of the Committee on Energy Resources and the Environment. In July 2024, Judge Hudson was appointed as a member of the NARUC Executive Committee, and he is also a member of the NARUC Board of Directors. Previously, Judge Hudson chaired the NARUC Select Committee on Regulatory and Industry Diversity from December 2021 until January 2024. Regional leadership includes serving as President of the Mid-Atlantic Conference of Regulatory Utilities Commissioners and as the Virginia member of the Organization of PJM States, Inc. He also serves on the Advisory Council of the Electric Power Research Institute.

    Judge Hudson earned his B.A. from Adelphi University, his J.D. from Vermont Law School, and his LL.M. in Taxation from the Georgetown University Law Center. He is admitted to practice in the U.S. Supreme Court.

Jennifer also leads the Strategic Partnerships team, cultivating relationships with philanthropic funders and other aligned organizations. Jennifer brings deep experience in philanthropy, advocacy, and energy policy. Before joining United, she was Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Congressional and Intergovernmental Affairs at the U.S. Department of Energy. She was also Senior Regional Director for the Southeast with the U.S. Energy Foundation and served as Assistant Secretary for Energy at the North Carolina Department of Commerce.

    Since joining EnergyHub in 2015, Erika has played a key role in scaling the company’s client relationships and service delivery. She brings more than 15 years of experience at the intersection of energy and technology, including executive roles at Recyclebank as SVP of Corporate Development and at ThinkEco as VP of Business Development. Erika is an active industry leader, currently serving on the board of Advanced Energy United. She was previously Vice Chair of the Advanced Energy Management Alliance (AEMA) and Co-Chair of the Women in Demand Management group within the Peak Load Management Alliance (PLMA).

    Erika holds a BA in Environmental Studies from Vassar College, a Master of Environmental Science from the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

    Sharon Segner joined LS Power in 2009 and currently serves as a senior vice president of transmission policy.

    Sharon has executed the company’s national strategies related to introducing competition into the transmission sector of the energy industry. Specifically, she leads the company’s national and state efforts related to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission’s (FERC) competitive transmission policy.

    Prior to her tenure at LS Power, Sharon developed two large natural gas projects for Competitive Power Ventures in Washington, D.C. and was the lead developer at the 650-megawatt Otay Mesa natural gas plant for PG&E National Energy Group in San Diego County, California.

    Earlier in her career, Sharon served as the principal advisor to the Chairman of the United States Senate Energy Subcommittee during the passage of the Energy Policy Act of 2005. She later served in the Executive Office of the President’s Office of Management and Budget (OMB) focused on energy issues and policy.

    Sharon received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Business Administration degree from Rice University.

Prior to her career with Texas Lobby Partners, Carrie was a legislative aide in the Texas House of Representatives, and later an account associate at Elizabeth Christian Public Relations and Affairs firm.  Carrie also served as Executive Director to the Texas House Republican Caucus. She provided legislative research and communication assistance to all 95 Republican Legislators in the Texas House of Representatives for over six years, three legislative sessions and multiple special sessions, providing a unique expertise.

    Additionally, Carrie has deep experience advocating for critical energy issues. She works closely with thought leaders at the Capitol as well as key agency leadership on the regulatory front. Carrie currently represents the Texas Advanced Energy Business Alliance, Cypress Creek Renewables (a utility-scale solar and energy storage developer), Enchanted Rock (a resiliency microgrid provider), and Tesla. In the most recent legislative sessions, she was active in negotiations for legislative efforts that rehauled the energy regulatory market, transmission expansion, energy resilience and electric vehicles.     Jason is Executive Vice President, Regulatory Services and Government Affairs of CenterPoint Energy. In this role, he oversees the following functions: Utility Strategy; Rates and Regulatory Portfolio Management; Regulatory Relations and Policy; Regulatory Legal; and Local, State and Federal Government Affairs.

    Jason has led teams responsible for representing our utility businesses in proceedings before state and federal agencies and any related appeals in the courts, prosecuting rate changes for the company’s utilities, developing and implementing regulatory strategies to achieve the company’s earnings and growth targets, and spearheading state and federal legislative initiatives to support the enterprise goals and objectives. 

    He joined CenterPoint Energy in 2009, after representing the company as outside regulatory counsel for nearly a decade. Before that, Jason was a managing partner at energy law firm RyanGlover LLP and a global projects attorney at Baker Botts LLP.

    Jason regularly serves as the company’s testifying witness on utility matters before legislative committees. He currently serves on the board of the Lone Star Flight Museum and the development board of the Archidiocese of Galveston-Houston. Jason was appointed to the Texas Diabetes Council by Texas Governor Greg Abbott. He also represents CenterPoint Energy as a member of Executive Legal Committee of the American Gas Association and the Board of the Association of Electric Companies of Texas.

    Jason earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration with honors from the University of Texas at Austin. He received his law degree with honors from the University of Texas School of Law. Jason served as an Information Dominance Warfare Officer in the United States Navy from 2005 to 2015.
