General Information
What is the purpose of the symposium?
We are thrilled to gather once again as a global community to showcase meaningful work focused on the wellbeing of children, youth, and families. Since 2014, we have co-hosted three symposiums in Banff, Alberta, welcoming more than 2,000 attendees from around the world.
Who should attend?
We are bringing together members of the Neurosequential Network, mental health professionals, educators, caregivers, researchers, community partners, and others who are passionate about trauma-informed care and relational health.
When and where will the symposium take place?
Oct 27-29, 2026
Preconference available Oct 26, 2026, 2-6pm
Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, Banff, AB, Canada.
Is this an in-person, virtual, or hybrid event?
The symposium will be offered in-person only.
Registration & Fees
How do I register?
Registration can be completed online through the symposium website at 4th International: 2026 Pathways to Prevention Symposium - Hull Services.
What does my registration include?
Registration includes access to keynote and breakout sessions, conference materials, and meals (breakfast, lunch and nutrition breaks).
Additional pre-conference registration provides access to the session on October 26th. The pre-conference ticket is only available when purchasing a regular conference registration.
Are there early-bird or group rates?
Yes, early-bird and group rates are available until March 31, 2026. Group rates are available after the early bird period closes. Details are listed on the registration page.
Can I register onsite?
Onsite registration will not be available.
What is the registration cancellation or refund policy?
Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to symposium2026@hullservices.ca and received no later than 9:00 AM (local time) on September 25, 2026, to qualify for a refund. Approved refunds will be issued to the original form of payment, less all credit card payment fees associated with the original order. No refunds will be issued after this deadline.
Force Majeure:
The Symposium organizers shall not be liable for any delay, modification, or cancellation of the event due to circumstances beyond their reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, government restrictions, public health emergencies, labor disputes, venue unavailability, or other unforeseen events.
In the event the Symposium must be postponed or cancelled due to such circumstances, the organizers reserve the right to determine an appropriate course of action, which may include rescheduling the event, converting to a virtual format, or issuing partial refunds after deducting unrecoverable expenses. No further liability shall arise.

Who are the keynote and featured speakers?

Will there be breakout sessions or workshops?
Yes, the program includes a range of breakout sessions and workshops focused on practical application and discussion.
Can I choose which sessions to attend?
Yes, attendees may select sessions based on interest, subject to room capacity.
Continuing Education (CE/CEU)
Will continuing education credits be offered?
Yes, CE/CEU credits are available for eligible sessions.
Which professions are eligible for CE/CEU credits?
Credits are available for social work, psychology, and counselors. Full accreditation details will be shared prior to the event.
How do I receive my CE/CEU certificate?
Full details will be shared with attendees prior to the event.
Travel & Accommodation
Are hotel accommodations available at a special rate?
Yes, a limited number of discounted room rates have been secured at the iconic Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel. Booking details are available on the symposium website.
Is parking available at the venue?
Parking is available onsite and nearby for a fee, to be paid directly to the venue. If travelling by vehicle to Banff, you will also need to purchase a Banff National Park Pass Park passes - Banff National Park.
Is the venue accessible?
Yes, the venue is fully accessible. Please contact the organizers with any specific accessibility needs.
I’m flying to Calgary, what is the best way to travel to Banff?
We recommend using an airport shuttle to travel to and from Banff. Within Banff townsite there are buses that go through the town and the main attractions, including the Fairmont Banff Springs.
Please remember to check your passport expiry date!

Yes, the symposium includes scheduled networking sessions and informal opportunities to connect with peers and speakers.

Optional social events will be offered. Details will be shared in the final program.
Technology
What technology do I need to participate?
A mobile device is recommended to utilize the event app. Free wi-fi will be available.
Will sessions be recorded and available after the event?
Some sessions may be recorded. This information will be communicated to delegates once the final schedule is complete.

Yes, the symposium will feature exhibitors and sponsors showcasing relevant products, services, and resources.
