Is previous golf experience required?
Yes. Previous golf experience is required. The purpose of these tournaments is to help junior golfers build upon their existing skills.
Do my kids have to bring their own clubs?
Yes. All participants are requried to bring their own clubs to the tournaments. If your child doesn't have their own clubs, you can call the courses directly to see if they have any available for rent for the day.
Do I (the guardian) have to stay at the course during the tournament?
Parents and guardians are not required to stay at the course during the tournament. They are more than welcome to stay, if that is what they prefer.
Are golf carts and push carts available for use during the tournament?
Golf carts are not available for junior golfers during the tournaments. Push carts are available at select courses on a first come first serve basis.
Is this similar to a Junior Golf camp?
No, this is not similar to a Junior Golf camp. Access Junior Golf tournaments are not for beginner golfers. Your child should be able to navigate a course on their own without the assistance of an instructor.
What are my payment options?
We prefer to receive all Junior Golf payments by e-transfer (payable to juniorgolf@accesscu.ca). However, we also accept cash and cheques (payable to Access Junior Golf) on the morning of the child's first tournament.
If your child is registered for more than one tournament, we ask that you pay the total price of all their tournaments at the same time, whether that be by e-transfer or by cash/cheque on the first tournament date.
What if my child is no longer able to attend a tournament that they are signed up for?
Please send an email to juniorgolf@accesscu.ca as soon as possible, informing us that your child is no longer able to attend the tournament. If you've already paid for that tournament via e-transfer, we will make sure that refund is processed right away.
Is there a deadline to register?
The deadline to register is 48 hours before each tournament date.
