Registration for the Georgia Department of Education's Federal Programs Conference: Teaching and Leading Together: A Collaborative Approach to Preparing All Students for Life is open. This is a collaborative initiative from the Offices of Federal Programs: School and District Improvement; Teaching and Learning; Whole Child Supports; Assessment & Accountability; Technology Services; Career, Technical, & Agrigultural Ecucation; and Rural Education and Innovation. Attendees of the June 2025 conference will leave the conference equipped with specific strategies, processes, and resources to strengthen their district and schools’ foundation in academics, behavior, and well-being. 

This conference experience will also include Director training for Special Education, IDEA, and ESSA, Title Grant leaders along with MathCON & CS CON and GaLEADS focused sessions.

Conference Goal: Coordinate federal resources to support district and school educators as they engage in a continuous improvement process to build a strong foundation in academics, behavior, and well-being that identifies and addresses the needs of the whole child.

Conference Format

This conference will be an in-person event where you can enjoy complimentary coffee and tea in the morning, along with a provided lunch. Stay refreshed by bringing a refillable water bottle, and dress in layers for comfort throughout the day. The conference experience will include several innovative workshops inclusive of Federal Programs, Special Education, School and District Improvement, Teaching and Learning, MathCON & CS CON, GaLEADS, and many more. This conference will be an in-person event. All workshop recordings will be available in the GaDOE’s PL catalog after the conference. We look forward to seeing you there!

What Attendees Can Expect

Teachers, school leaders, instructional coaches, and district personnel will engage in interactive sessions that provide resources, strategies, and best practices to improve outcomes for Georgia’s students. Sessions will be offered to assist with plans for coordinating federal funds, supporting federally identified schools, and leading strong practices that enhance academics, behavior, and well-being in the 2025-2026 school year. In addition, attendees can expect:

  • An intentional focus on building a strong foundation in academics, behavior, and well-being.
  • Collaborative presentations from the Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) Offices, providing insights, resources, and innovative practices.
  • Real-world models and experiences from district and school leaders, showcasing successful strategies and lessons learned.
  • Actionable strategies and processes that can be immediately applied in classrooms, schools, and districts.
  • Insights into the latest policies and initiatives impacting education at the state level.
  • Discussions on data-driven decision-making to address the whole child.
  • Exploration of instructional practices that support student engagement and success.

This conference will include:

  • MathCON & CS CON targeting K-12 Mathematics and Computer Science Teachers, Leaders, and Instructional Coaches
  • Director training for Special Education, IDEA, and ESSA Title Grant leaders
  • GaLEADS - The Georgia Leader and Educator Acceleration and Development System

Registration

Registration will be in two parts:

  • Part I – register to attend the conference
  • Part II – select your concurrent session interests

Part I is currently open and will close on April 30, 2025, or when capacity is met.
Part II will open for registered attendees only in early May, 2025. This will help with planning room assignments but does not guarantee a seat.
