Lisa Coffin DD, has been practicing the art of Denturism since graduating from NAIT in 2010. She has owned and operated a denture clinic as well as associated in several provinces across Canada. Her focus for the past five years has been learning the different Digital Denture workflows and the impact they will have on the advancement of removable prosthetics. Lisa strives for knowledge and is passionate to learn and share this information with other like-minded dental professionals.

Boyd Doucette is a third-generation denturist located in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, who alongside his brother Britten, owns and operates two full-service denture clinics serving Saskatoon and the surrounding communities. Since 2018, Boyd has been the forefront of digital denture innovations, with a particular focus on advanced digital workflows and All-On-X solutions. Combining his knowledge in prosthetic implant restorations and the proven VITA VIONIC digital denture system, he is committed to delivering predictable, esthetic and long-lasting outcomes.  Boyd actively pursues advanced continuing education throughout North America and Europe to refine his craft and stay aligned with the evolving landscape of digital dentistry.  Outside the clinic, he values time with his wife Kelli and their son Kash and enjoys traveling the world while creating meaningful family memories.

Dean Fenwick is the founder of Specialized Office Systems Inc. which provides the DOMx practice management system for denturists: www.denturistsoftware.com. He has been a key contributor to the evolution of electronic claim submissions for denturists from its inception. Dean spent years teaching practice management to denturist students at NAIT and continues to support denturist education across Canada. As an avid supporter and champion for denturists, he is committed to the growth and prosperity of this vital industry. Dean firmly believes that with the rapid changes in technology, denturists should not only keep pace but be at the forefront of innovation.

Markus Fischer, RD, RDT, PID, began his dental journey in 1993 as a dental technology student at Vancouver Community College (VCC). He founded his own dental laboratory in 1997 and, two years later, joined VCC as a dental technology instructor—a role he held for 15 years.

Inspired to work directly with patients, Markus became a denturist in 2006. His denture clinic took a transformative turn in 2014 when he was introduced to Dr. Jiro Abe and the BPS/SEMCD denture technique, which he has passionately embraced ever since.

A committed lifelong learner, Markus and his team at Fischer Denture Clinic have integrated digital denture technology—including design, printing, and milling—into their workflow since 2022. As a certified BPS and SEMCD instructor, he has delivered numerous courses and presentations over the past nine years, sharing his expertise with colleagues across the profession.

Devaughn has worked in the health industry for 21 years - 18 specifically as a technician or as Director of Highland Dental Lab. Anticipating the morphing dental landscape, modernization began at Highland 18 years ago with the acquisition of their first in-house milling unit. Years later, the lab is state of the art with multiple scanners, mills & 3D model printers. Devaughn has received advanced design certificates from Dentsply Sirona, Vita and beyond. Further, he is numbered amongst a lucky few that are ‘Global in Lab Trainers’ certified in Germany, and is a software, hardware & materials beta tester. Additionally, he is a certified CEREC SPEAR mentor and shares his passion through writing for several dental publications. Devaughn self identifies as a ‘tooth nerd’ and can be found immersed in a dental publication or tinkering with his dental ‘toys’. Devaughn is an avid outdoorsman, rugby fanatic & suffers from a congenitally defective sense of humor.

Dr. Huh graduated from School of Dentistry at Pusan National University in Korea in 2002. He finished the Resident program for the specialty of Prosthodontics at the Ajou University Hospital and received his PhD degree at the school of dentistry, Yonsei University, Korea in 2011. Dr. Huh is Associate Professor of Prosthodontics at School of Dentistry, Pusan National University. He has published over 80 scientific papers and five book chapters in the scientific literature for the last 5 years. He has lectured extensively about dental implant, prosthodontics, tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. Dr. Huh is also the head of Dental Research Institute and the head in department of prosthodontics, Pusan National University Dental Hospital. Dr. Huh has been honored with "Student Research Fellowship Award" in IADR Implantology Research Group at 2009, "IADR Hatton Award" in IADR Korean Division in 2010, and "Young Scientist Award" in the Korean Academy of Prosthodontics at 2012. Recently, he was honored as the grand prize winner of the "Yeon-Song Dentistry Prize" that is most prestigious award in the field of Korean dentistry in 2018.

Il Hwan Jang is the Director of JD Dental Laboratory and a respected expert in advanced denture technology. He serves as an Ivoclar BPS Technical Instructor, Ivoclar Korea Key Opinion Leader (KOL), and Osstem Technical Instructor, contributing to the education and advancement of dental laboratory techniques.

Mr. Jang is also the inventor of the JD Device, for which he holds a patent. He holds the record for completing the highest number of Nexco denture cases in Korea and has been teaching the Nexco system for over five years.

Through international lectures and hands-on training, he shares his expertise in transitioning from analog to digital denture workflows, demonstrating innovative techniques using Ivoclar products to dental professionals around the world.

Carson Law is a Registered Denturist and entrepreneur dedicated to advancing digital dentistry. As the founder of Nechako Ridge Denturist Corp. and Summit Ridge Metals, she blends clinical expertise with cutting-edge technology to deliver precise, digitally driven prosthetic solutions.

An international lecturer on digital denture workflows and advanced manufacturing, Carson is committed to innovation, education, and elevating standards in removable prosthetics - all while staying rooted in her Northern BC community and family life with her husband, Mike, and their children.

Mallory Potter has been The Denturist Association of Canada’s Executive Director since 2011. She graduated from the Administration Medical and Legal Program with Distinction from St. Lawrence College in Kingston in 2010. She currently lives in Shannonville, Ontario, with her husband Michael and their 6-year-old son Mason. Mallory is passionate about the profession and ensuring all members feel supported and have their questions answered.

Samantha (Sam, she/her) is a US trained physician who has lived in BC for the past 22 years in the unceded territory of the Sylix and autonomous Sinixit, under the grace of K'marken also known as Red Mountain.

Her relevant medical training includes medical school at the University of Connecticut (go Huskies!), Yale University (internship), Dartmouth University (dermatology and histopathology) and Harvard (molecular bone pathology).

While at UConn she studied oral pathology with a dermatology clinician.

In summary, she says she loves to learn and loves the outdoors. She lives in the Kootenays with her dog and does outdoor stuff. She is also a dog mom and stepmom to two men who are awesome humans and have cool jobs: a Canadian air force pilot and a veterinarian. She is proudly Canadian.

Dr. Julian B. Sernik, MD, FRCSC is an orthopedic surgeon, systems-improvement leader, and expert clinical faculty in Consultant Specialist Team Care with a professional focus on how skilled professionals can build and maintain high functioning teams that can adapt to change while preserving quality, efficiency and team dynamic.

He completed medical school at the University of British Columbia (2007), orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Alberta (2012), and a fellowship in Trauma and Lower-Extremity Reconstruction at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, University of Toronto (2013). In parallel with clinical practice, Dr. Sernik completed formal leadership and improvement training through the Sauder Physician Leadership Program, Navig8 Emerging Physician Leaders Program, and Physician Quality Improvement (PQI) initiatives.

He is a certified ski guide with the Canadian Ski Guide Association and the creator of the Highly Effective Leadership Immersion (HELI) program, where he integrates lessons from trauma surgery, ski guiding, and high-performance team science to teach leadership, decision-making, and change management in uncertain environments. He is also a TEDx speaker, focusing on the universal language of collaborative problem-solving across industries.

Dr. Sernik brings a practical, operator-level perspective to conversations about modernization - grounded in real-world experience leading professionals and their teams through high-stakes transitions without losing the human and technical excellence at the core of their work.

Matt Wilson has been working in EMS for the last 18 years, in both urban and suburban settings. Throughout his career, he has sought out education roles at every opportunity. He has been a mentor for new employees, a field training paramedic for continuing education and professional development, a paramedic program instructor, and a Heart & Stroke Foundation Certified BLS Instructor. Using his pre-hospital emergency expertise, he entered the dental field to collaborate with dentists offering sedation in the non-hospital setting as a sedation assistant and consultant for dental clinics across Alberta.

Stephanie brings more than thirty years of extensive experience to the patients and students of her practice. She began her career in 1988 as a crown and bridge technician in Devon, England, where she was born and raised. In 1991, she joined a dental laboratory that specialized in prosthetics and casting, where her passion for dentures first began.

To further her education, in 1989 Stephanie enrolled at the Dental School at Cardiff University in Wales, graduating in 1993 with a National Diploma in Science (Dental Technology). Her dedication to her studies was recognized when she received a grant from The Prince of Wales Business Trust for Young Entrepreneurs.

Following graduation, Stephanie established her own laboratory, “The Tooth Fairy,” at just twenty-one years old which she ran and operated until she moved to Canada to pursue greater business opportunities in 2004.

In 2008, she became certified as a Licensed Dental Technician (LDT), which allowed her to pursue further education and professional qualifications. She later earned her Licensed Denturist (LD) license.

Stephanie is one of only four technical instructors in Canada certified to teach SEMCD (Lower Suction Denture). She has trained technicians, dentists, and denturists across North America in these specialized techniques. In addition, she is a certified instructor in Ivoclar’s Bio functional Prosthetic System (BPS) and currently serves on the executive committee of the Denturist Association of British Columbia.
