The Denturist Association of Canada and DOMx: Q&A Session with The DAC and DOMx

This interactive session offers a personalized Q&A experience for denturists and their staff, led by the Executive Director of the Denturist Association of Canada (The DAC) and the Founder of DOMx. Denturists and their teams are invited to share their daily challenges and pressing questions about DACnet, the CDCP, the Fee Guide, general insurance and front-end operations.

Recognizing Medical Red Flags: The Denturist's Role in Early Intervention

This presentation is designed to equip denturists with the knowledge to recognize early signs of serious health conditions and emergencies that may present during patient assessments and procedures. As many patients do not have a family doctor, chronic conditions such as hypertension and diabetes may go undiagnosed, increasing the risk of severe health outcomes. This session will focus on recognizing health conditions that may present with oral or facial symptoms, patient history, or general presentation, such as stroke, heart disease, and neurological disorders, among others. Participants will learn the proper technique for measuring blood pressure, a quick and easy way to screen for undiagnosed hypertension, and how to interpret the findings. This session will highlight key red flags that warrant immediate emergency care or a non-urgent medical referral, empowering denturists to play a crucial role in identifying at-risk patients and facilitating timely medical intervention.

Swiss NF Metals, Inc: Advanced Solutions for Implant Supported Restorations in Challenging Cases

In an ideal scenario, implant-retained removable prosthetics would consistently adhere to established protocols without necessitating innovative interventions or daily troubleshooting. Within the context of this lecture, I will present authentic case studies highlighting the pragmatic application of problem-solving techniques and corrective measures honed over years of experience.

Learning Objectives:

1. Discerning various prosthetic space requirements

2. Strategizing treatment plans for divergent implant placements

3. Formulating treatment plans for cases with insufficient restorative space

4. Tailoring locator-type abutments to individual cases

5. Implementing a hybrid approach combining acrylic and zirconia in single restorations

6. Leveraging cutting-edge advancements in digital dentistry to enhance predictability in outcomes.
