    He holds a bachelor in chemistry that he obtained at the PHIS in Antwerp in 1993.

    In 2012 he returned from a Project Director assignment in Egypt back to the Electrolysis division at the then thyssenkrupp Uhde GmbH to support the planned joint venture in the electrolysis business. When thyssenkrupp Electrolysis GmbH was founded in 2014, he established and headed the Project Execution Department.

    After closing of the joint venture, he took on the position Head of Management at thyssenkrupp Uhde Chlorine Engineers (now thyssenkrupp nucera) in Dortmund, Germany.

    Fulvio Federico has 30 years' professional experience in design, development and manufacturing of cells and processes for the electrochemical industry. In 1993 he joined De Nora for the research and development of electrolyzers for conventional chlor-alkali as well as for new processes, especially those using oxygen depolarized cathodes.

    He was participating in projects and leading projects in new technology developments for De Nora and, since 2001, for Uhdenora and partners, from basic concept until industrialization (e.g. the HCl-ODC electrolysis, NaCl-ODC, zero-gap retrofit, new chlor-alkali BM Gen. v6, etc.).

    In April 2015 he joined thyssenkrupp nucera (former: thyssenkrupp Uhde Chlorine Engineers) as Head of Global Technology, coordinating the R&D activities. On 1 October 2017 Fulvio Federico was appointed CTO.

    Carsten has more than 20 years' professional experience in chemical engineering.

    He works for thyssenkrupp since 2005 and held leading positions in engineering and management for design, development and manufacturing of cells and processes for the electrochemical industry.

    After six years as head of the design department for electrolysis plants, he took over the Product Order Execution department for Energy Storage and Hydrogen (ESH) from 2017 until his move to Japan. In the last six months before his move to Japan, he was also acting head of ESH.

    At the beginning of 2020, Carsten Schmitt took over as CEO and Representative Director of tkUCE (now thyssenkrupp nucera) Japan.

    Dietmar Wagner joined thyssenkrupp in 1991. Initially, he worked on engineering and commissioning of chlorine dioxide, hydrogen peroxide and chlor alkali plants. Since 2001 he was responsible for the technology services of electrolysis plants. In October 2016 he took over the position Head of Portfolio Development in the Business Unit Service of thyssenkrupp.

    Sebastian Waldeck has over 10 years of professional experience in plant development and engineering, thereof 4 years in chlor-alkali electrolysis.

    From 2015 to 2019 he was responsible for leading engineering and execution of process gas compressors plants, especially for mid and high pressure hydrogen applications downstream electrolysis process.

    Within his role as Head of Group Innovation Center Chlor-Alkali he took over accountability for thyssenkrupp nucera’s Chlor-Alkali and HCl technology development.
