    Chad Rintoul is the Chief Executive Officer of the British Columbia Notaries Association, the organization which represents the interests of Notary Public from across British Columbia.

    Chad is a graduate of the University of Windsor, and the University of Western Ontario. He was previously the Chief Administrative Officer of the Association of BC Land Surveyors, the regulator governing the practice of Land Surveying in British Columbia. He has served on the Victoria Airport Authority Board of Directors from 2007 – 2013, where he was Chairman of Planning and Development, and from 2013 – 2018 as a Board member and President of the Peninsula Minor Hockey Association, and Director of the Vancouver Island Amateur Hockey Association.

    In addition to his role with the BCNA, Chad is elected to municipal Council for the Town of Sidney, and a member of the Land Title and Survey Authority of British Columbia Stakeholder Advisory Committee. He also volunteers as a member of the Appeal Committee for BC Hockey.

    Niki Sharma was elected MLA for Vancouver-Hastings in 2020 and previously served as the deputy caucus chair and parliamentary secretary for Community Development and Non-Profits.

    Niki is a lawyer whose practice focused on representing Indigenous people, including residential school survivors. Niki has worked across B.C. as an advocate on climate policy and reconciliation. She has also been recognized for her work on combatting racism.

    Niki was elected to the board of Vancity Credit Union where she served as vice-chair and chaired the Climate Justice Working Group. She also served as chair of the Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation. In these roles, she worked to improve her community and make life better for people and our planet.

    In 2017, Niki worked as a senior ministerial assistant helping to deliver more child care spaces for B.C. families.

    Niki was raised in Sparwood, B.C. A mother of two, she has lived in East Vancouver for more than 15 years and has deep connections in the community.

    Geoffrey White has 25+ years of expertise in Will, Estate and Trust matters.  He assists clients both at his “heritage” office in Kelowna and as counsel with Clark Wilson LLP in downtown Vancouver. He is recognized by “Best Lawyers in Canada” for his work in estate law.  

    In addition to his active estate law practice, he is also an editor of BC’s “Probate & Estate Administration Practice Manual” for lawyers, which is acknowledged as the primary source for all estate matters in the province.     Katie Armitage is legal counsel with the Ministry of Attorney General’s Justice Service Branch.   She graduated from UBC’s faculty of law in 2006, was called to the bar in Ontario in 2007 and in BC in 2010.  

    Katie began her career in private practice on Bay Street in Toronto before heeding the call to public service and joining the Ontario government first as a Crown Counsel and then a policy analyst within Ontario’s cabinet office.   Upon relocating back to BC in 2010, Katie spent several years at a boutique governance consulting firm where she supported numerous boards and senior executives on a broad range of governance matters.   Before joining the Ministry in 2020, Katie spent five years as legal counsel at the health regulator known most recently as the BC College of Nurses and Midwives.

    Ray started his career in the forest industry after completing his Forest Resources Management diploma at BCIT.  After working in the forest industry in various parts of the Province for nearly 20 years, it was time to follow his developing interest in water management and he moved to the Okanagan to complete the Water Engineering Technology program at Okanagan College.  Ray has been part of the Penticton Water Allocation team since 2012 and is currently designated as an Assistant Water Manager under the Water Sustainability Act.  Ray is a married father of three living in West Kelowna, who has recently found himself struggling to keep up with his teenage kids on the ski hill.
