Chad Rintoul is the Chief Executive Officer of the British Columbia Notaries Association, the organization which represents the interests of Notary Public from across British Columbia.

Chad is a graduate of the University of Windsor, and the University of Western Ontario. He was previously the Chief Administrative Officer of the Association of BC Land Surveyors, the regulator governing the practice of Land Surveying in British Columbia. He has served on the Victoria Airport Authority Board of Directors from 2007 – 2013, where he was Chairman of Planning and Development, and from 2013 – 2018 as a Board member and President of the Peninsula Minor Hockey Association, and Director of the Vancouver Island Amateur Hockey Association.

In addition to his role with the BCNA, Chad is elected to municipal Council for the Town of Sidney, and a member of the Land Title and Survey Authority of British Columbia Stakeholder Advisory Committee. He also volunteers as a member of the Appeal Committee for BC Hockey.

Diane Lloyd is a leadership coach, speaker and facilitator with a superpower for creating safe and inspiring environments that create unguarded conversations and transformational change. She founded her company Inspired Results Group with a vision to end the era of command and control leadership, and usher in the age of enlighten and empower through executive coaching and leadership training. Diane has an MA in Leadership, is a PCC level coach with the ICF and a Certified Dare to Lead™ Facilitator and Conversational Intelligence® Coach. Diane also holds an Associate Faculty position in the Certified Executive Coach Program at Royal Roads University. In addition to her identity as a coach-entrepreneur, she can be found adventuring with her family on Vancouver Island, reading a great book or seeking release on her yoga mat.    

Niki Sharma was elected MLA for Vancouver-Hastings in 2020 and previously served as the deputy caucus chair and parliamentary secretary for Community Development and Non-Profits.

Niki is a lawyer whose practice focused on representing Indigenous people, including residential school survivors. Niki has worked across B.C. as an advocate on climate policy and reconciliation. She has also been recognized for her work on combatting racism.

Niki was elected to the board of Vancity Credit Union where she served as vice-chair and chaired the Climate Justice Working Group. She also served as chair of the Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation. In these roles, she worked to improve her community and make life better for people and our planet.

In 2017, Niki worked as a senior ministerial assistant helping to deliver more child care spaces for B.C. families.

Niki was raised in Sparwood, B.C. A mother of two, she has lived in East Vancouver for more than 15 years and has deep connections in the community.

Geoffrey White has 25+ years of expertise in Will, Estate and Trust matters.  He assists clients both at his “heritage” office in Kelowna and as counsel with Clark Wilson LLP in downtown Vancouver. He is recognized by “Best Lawyers in Canada” for his work in estate law.  

In addition to his active estate law practice, he is also an editor of BC’s “Probate & Estate Administration Practice Manual” for lawyers, which is acknowledged as the primary source for all estate matters in the province. Geoff has litigated estate and trust matters at all levels of court including the BC Court of Appeal and Supreme Court of Canada. These matters include: discretionary trusts, multiple wills, removal of an executor, and international conflict of laws. Clark Wilson has been recognized as a finalist for the “Contentious Trusts and Estates Team of the Year (midsize firm)” in the worldwide STEP Private Client awards. 

Geoff has also served as the chair of:  the BC Law Foundation; the national Canadian Bar Association – Elder Law; the Society of Estate and Trust Practitioners (STEP); and various Estate Planning Societies.

Joan Letendre was commissioned as a Notary in 2002 and ran her Notary Practice in Kerrisdale/Vancouver until 2017. She began doing Practice Audits in 2010 and continues in the role for the Society of Notaries. Joan is also a PAL advisor and a teacher for the Notary students enrolled in the MAALS Program.

Marny Morin is a Notary Public and Program Manager for the BC Notaries Captive Insurance Co. Marny is also the Secretary of the Society of Notaries Public of B.C

Patrick Is the Senior Authorizations Officer for the Okanagan Shuswap Resource District with the Ministry of Forests.

Patrick and his team of Professionals and Specialists are responsible for reviewing and authorizing tenures for Private Moorage structures in the Okanagan Lake system. In addition Patrick and his team review and approve applications for a number of upland developments including gravel pits on provincial land, roadways across provincial land to isolated private land parcels and small utilities (electrical, gas, water) over provincial land.

Katie Armitage is legal counsel with the Ministry of Attorney General’s Justice Service Branch.   She graduated from UBC’s faculty of law in 2006, was called to the bar in Ontario in 2007 and in BC in 2010.  

Katie began her career in private practice on Bay Street in Toronto before heeding the call to public service and joining the Ontario government first as a Crown Counsel and then a policy analyst within Ontario’s cabinet office.   Upon relocating back to BC in 2010, Katie spent several years at a boutique governance consulting firm where she supported numerous boards and senior executives on a broad range of governance matters.   Before joining the Ministry in 2020, Katie spent five years as legal counsel at the health regulator known most recently as the BC College of Nurses and Midwives.

Quang Duong is a partner at the law firm of MacKenzie Fujisawa.  Quang is a litigator with considerable experience in professional liability and administrative law matters, real estate, wills and estates and commercial litigation.  Quang brings his broad experience and client-centred approach to help clients achieve optimal results.  He is committed to providing clients with excellent legal services by combining strategic thinking, thorough legal analysis and a down-to-earth demeanor.

Quang received his Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of British Columbia and his law degree from the University of Manitoba.  He clerked at the Tax Court of Canada and was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2007.  Outside of work, Quang enjoys spending time with his family, reading, and sports.

Ministry of Forests - Okanagan Shuswap Natural Resource District

Ray started his career in the forest industry after completing his Forest Resources Management diploma at BCIT.  After working in the forest industry in various parts of the Province for nearly 20 years, it was time to follow his developing interest in water management and he moved to the Okanagan to complete the Water Engineering Technology program at Okanagan College.  Ray has been part of the Penticton Water Allocation team since 2012 and is currently designated as an Assistant Water Manager under the Water Sustainability Act.  Ray is a married father of three living in West Kelowna, who has recently found himself struggling to keep up with his teenage kids on the ski hill. 

Ron Usher has spoken throughout Canada and the U.S.A. on topics including real estate law and practice, e- filing systems, digital security, fraud, social media and Bitcoin. In addition to teaching real estate law at SFU, he is a member of the Society of Notaries Public of B.C., the Law Society of B.C., the Canadian Bar Association, the Real Estate Institute of B.C., and the B.C. Real Estate Section of the Canadian Bar Association.
