Referred to as “one of the sneakiest golf states in the Country”, with its rolling terrain and varied topography, Virginia is home to a variety of incredible courses. We are currently scoping out some great options, and we are excited to confirm your tee time & location in the new year!

Get ready to channel your inner warrior during an adrenaline-packed activity combining skill, focus, and sheer excitement!  

Participants will be given time to learn about the craft and try their own hand at both archery and axe throwing in the beautiful meadow on the Salamander property. No previous experience required.  

Glide through the forest canopy in the treetops on an interconnected series of zip lines and beautiful suspension bridges. Traverse five different zip lines and two suspension bridges winding your way through the rolling hills of historic Middleburg. Zip lines range in length from 270 feet to 670 feet and are 35 to 60 feet above the hallowed grounds where John Mosby planned his next attack and where Jackie Kennedy escaped the politics of DC.

Whether you’re new to fly fishing or want to take your skills to the next level, join this expert-guided session and explore breathtaking fishing waters! Join an experienced crew of guides and fly-fishing instructors to learn the ins and outs of fly fishing in an area historically known and highly regarded by fishers far and wide! No experience necessary; all gear provided.  

Experience the natural beauty of Middleburg astride docile trail horses as you meander through the woods and paths on a leisurely one-hour ride. Rides are guided, and no experience is required.

First take in the scenery, then take in the brewery! Your adventure starts with breathtaking trails and ends with brews that hit the spot. This 1.5-mile hike through the Salamander woods to Lost Barrel Brewing will have you saying “Cheers!” to an afternoon well spent!  For the return, you are welcome to hike back or hop on our return shuttle.

Experience the thrill of partnering with a raptor.  Start off in the classroom and get exposed to the equipment then we take the experience outside for the thrill of a lifetime as each participant can have a bird of prey fly to their gloved arm.

Join us for a vibrant, hands-on cooking class where you’ll uncover the secrets of one of Mexico’s most beloved street foods, Carne Asada Tacos.  Our chef will demonstrate how to marinate, grill, and carve perfectly tender carne asada before presenting it taco-station style. 

Guests will get hands-on by preparing fresh salsa verde, pico de gallo, and guacamole—the essential accompaniments for an authentic taco experience. The evening finishes with everyone assembling and enjoying their own carne asada tacos, complete with all the traditional fixings.
