HOW TO REACH THE VENUE
From the Airport Berlin-Brandenburg (BER) to the City Center
Train from BER
The easiest way is to take the train. The Airport Express (FEX) and regional trains (RE7, RB14) travel frequently between BER and Alexanderplatz, taking about 30 minutes. Alternatively, you can take the S-Bahn (S9) which also runs every 20 minutes
Tickets
• A single ticket for the train or S-Bahn costs around €3.80 (adult fare)
• via the via the BVG app or ticket machines, located in the airport terminal and at the train station
• validate your ticket before boarding the train/S-Bahn.
• Validation machines are located on the platforms of S-Bahn and U-Bahn stations, as well as inside trams.
• Insert your ticket into the machine to stamp it with the date and time. This activates your ticket for use.
• If you forget to validate your ticket, you may be fined during ticket inspection
Bus from BER
A direct bus service operates between BER and Alexanderplatz, taking approximately 40 minutes
Taxi from BER
Takes about 35 minutes
Costs: 55 and 65 Euros
CAUTION: Beware of illegal taxis at the airport. Always use the official taxi ranks and avoid accepting rides from drivers who approach you directly inside the terminal. Official taxis are regulated and ensure a fair fare and safe journey.
From the Central Station (Hauptbahnhof) to Alexanderplatz
S-Bahn, Tram & Bus
S-Bahn lines S5, S7, and S75 travel frequently between Berlin Hauptbahnhof and Alexanderplatz, taking about 6 minutes.
Alternatively, you can take the tram (M5) or bus (TXL), which also provide direct connections.
Tickets
• cost around €3.80 for adults for a single fare on train, tram, or bus
• can be purchased at multilingual ticket machines on the platforms of S-Bahn and subway stations
• You can also buy tickets on the bus from the driver, or on trams from the ticket machines inside.
• Tickets are also available via the BVG app

When does registration close?
One week prior the event, the registration will be closed. Attention: If the places are already fully booked, we will close earlier.
Where can I collect my badge?
Badges will be available at the welcome desk at ESMT.
What do I need to bring to collect my badge?
Your ID and registration confirmation.
Wi-Fi
Will WI-Fi be available at the venue?
At the ESMT there will be a guest Wi-Fi.
LANGUAGE AND INTERPRETATION
What is the language of the event?
The event will be in English, with interpretation available in German and French, except for the breakout sessions, which will be in English only.
VISA INVITATION LETTER
I need an invitation letter for my visa application. What should I do?
Participants are responsible for arranging their own visas and travel documents.
