When and where is the conference? 

The conference will be hosted in person on Tuesday, November 25th and Wednesday, November 26th, 2025, in Ottawa, Ontario, at the Delta City Centre Hotel. Learn more about our accommodations discounts here.

Will this conference be streamed online?

No, this conference will be hosted exclusively in person in Ottawa and we would love to see you there.

What's included in the conference pass?

  • Access to the two-day conference with 15+ sessions, 30+ speakers, and focused action planning and collaborative work in small group settings.
  • Meals during the conference days - breakfast, lunch and snacks. Tea and coffee available throughout both days.

When does conference registration open and the schedule become available? 

Registration is now open and the partial schedule is now available.

We encourage you to secure your ticket as soon as registration opens to unlock early bird discounted rates, available for a limited time.

Humane Canada members and associates, as well as students, receive 10% off.

I am interested in speaking - what should I do? 

Thank you for your interest in speaking at Humane Canada's One Health/One Welfare Conference. The call for speakers is now closed. We appreciate your interest and hope to see your submission at a future conference. To see this year's education, please visit the Education page for more details. 

Alternatively, you can submit a presentation proposal (abstract) for the 2026 Summit for Animals until August 21st.

Are there any travel discounts available for attendees?

Yes, please visit our Location & Travel page for discounts on travel.

Is the conference venue pet friendly?

Yes the conference venue is pet friendly. Please contact the hotel directly if you plan on bringing your pet as fees may apply. Please also contact the event organizers to let them know you will be bringing your pet. The event organizers can be reached at events@humanecanada.ca.

Is food being served during the conference?

Yes, as part of your registration, breakfast and lunch are included for both days. Throughout these two days, coffee, tea and snacks will also be available.

Please note that all food served is plant based.

Is there a conference app?

Yes! The conference app is by EventMobi and can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play Store. Attendees will be notified closer to the event with more details on how to log in and gain access to the conference.

Is there parking at the conference venue?

Yes - Parking is available at the Ottawa City Centre Delta Hotel, where the conference will be hosted.

On-Site Parking:

Underground parking garage max 6 feet clearance

Off-Site Parking:
272 Queen Street - 200 metres away from the conference venue

Can I bring my dog to the conference?

Yes, the Ottawa City Centre Delta Hotel is pet-friendly. A Dog Waiver Form will need to be signed at check-in. The Delta also provides dog beds and bowls upon request (available in limited quantity) to make your pet’s stay more comfortable.

The hotel welcomes dogs of all sizes.
Maximum Number of Pets in Room: 2

Pets are not allowed in the hotel gym, restaurant, or any area where food service occurs. Pets are welcome in the conference areas, but not where food is served. If you plan to bring your dog, please inform Humane Canada's events team at events@humanecanada.ca and check with the hotel for any specific restrictions regarding your dog's stay. 
 

 

Is there a dress code?

There is no dress code when attending the conference and additional activities. We simply ask that you wear what makes you feel comfortable in a professional environment. Most people opt for business casual outfits.
