The Surrey Teachers’ Association Convention is an annual, teacher led professional development day planned by teachers, for teachers. Each year, thousands of Surrey educators come together for inspiring keynotes, hands-on workshops, and collaborative learning opportunities. Rooted in educator expertise and collective growth, the STA Convention celebrates our profession while fostering meaningful learning, connection, and community.

Salish Secondary Schedule 

    8:30-9:00 – Coffee by the front entrance 

    9:00-10:15 –  Grand Procession followed by Keynote Chief Chappell 

    10:15-10:30 – BREAK 

    10:30-2:15 – 3 hour session (includes lunch break) 

    10:30-12:00 – Session 1 

    12:00-12:45 – LUNCH 

    12:45-2:15 – Session 2
