About the Resort

A breathtaking desert sanctuary located in a lush 100-acre desert garden at the foothills of the magnificent Santa Catalina Mountains, our resort captures the spirit, beauty and culture of the Southwest's Sonoran Desert. Guestrooms offer private terraces, breathtaking views of the area, and every creature comfort.

Experience the epitome of relaxation at Tucson's premier resort, boasting two signature pools with breathtaking desert vistas, including an adult-only lap pool at Lakeside Spa + Fitness. Indulge in poolside delights provided by the Poolside Concierge, such as chilled fruit and towels, ensuring a refreshing escape from the desert heat.

Located a chip shot away from the front lobby are The Loews Ventana Canyon’s two Tom Fazio-designed championship 18-hole golf courses. Both courses are seamlessly integrated into the Santa Catalina Mountains’ natural features and embody the character of the Sonoran Desert landscape.

Enjoy an afternoon or evening of tennis or pickleball on one of our two lighted tennis or four lighted pickleball courts. Our programs are set against a gorgeous landscape, so don’t be surprised if you find yourself pausing mid-match to take it all in.

Window Walk Educational Nature Trail

For beautiful Tucson sightseeing, stroll the resort’s own half-mile paved nature trail and learn the wonders of the Sonoran Desert. Over 200 signs line the trail and identify the plants and animals indigenous to the area. On your way around the trail, don't miss the 80-foot waterfall that flows into a brook that joins the major water feature on our golf course. Finish the educational tour with a stop in our custom butterfly garden, complete with all the plants necessary for the full life cycle of a butterfly and a trickling water feature fit for our fluttering friends.
