Our Opening Keynote: “The Playful Culture, How fun at work leads to innovation and progress”, will teach how to harness the benefits of plat to create innovative, collaborative and productive environments.

Market insight is a hot topic at the AGM, and as a leader in your industry, you want to know about microeconomic trends that affect your fluid power industry, as well as the macroeconomic conditions affecting Canada, North America and the rest of the world.

We are also planning to provide an update on trends in green energy, natural gas and nuclear power. These will be critically important in the coming years, and we need to understand the role of fluid power in Canada’s goal to build a world where the environment and the economy go hand in hand.

We will also focus more on internal business discussions so you will leave with an appreciation for best practices of industry leaders. We will be determining the future direction of CFPA committees.

The Playful Culture, How Fun At Work Leads To Innovation and Progress

Play is the world of children. As we grow up, we slowly relegate play to something we
do after the important things have been finished. But play belongs in organizations too –
not just occasionally, but every day.

Workplaces that harness the benefits of play create:

    • Innovative environments
    • Collaborative environments and
    • Productive environments

Play reduces stress, absenteeism and presenteeism, and creates a more energized environment.

In this keynote, you’ll be inspired to:

    • Invite more play into your day-to-day culture
    • Encourage and motivate employees
    • Create a workplace that is anything but status quo.

We dare teams and organizations to create strong cultures by working from the inside
out – helping all their people contribute to the culture through their choices.

    Stress Management

We all talk about stress, but we’re not always clear about what it is. Stress comes from both the good and the bad things that happen to us. If we didn’t feel any stress, we wouldn’t be alive!  However, stress may feel overwhelming at times.
Recognizing that our physical bodies and mental health are closely connected, I will introduce you to the mental health continuum and how stress can play a roll in our overall health.
We know it can be hard to make changes when we are not sure of how we are affected by stress.  This presentation lays it out for us and gives us tools to improve and increase our mental wellness.
