The Alberta Canola Producers Commission, founded in 1989, was the province’s first refundable checkoff producer organizations.
The mission of Alberta Canola is to support the long-term success of canola farmers in Alberta through research, extension, consumer engagement, and advocacy.

Manitoba Canola Growers is committed to maximizing net income for canola farmers through sustainable production.
MCGA represents approximately 7,500 members. MCGA uses the canola check off dollars for “seed money” to grow the future. Every dollar spent is leveraged at the local, national, and international levels, and studies show that every dollar invested by growers results in an impressive return on investment.
Through the strategic, thoughtful investments of grower check off contributions, MCGA ensures that our members are well positioned to take advantage of opportunities to maximize their net income from growing canola.
Manitoba Canola Growers are a part of a large canola value chain all working together to build a strong canola industry.

We produce and distribute over 27 million tonnes of potash, nitrogen and phosphate products for agricultural, industrial and feed customers world-wide. Combined with our leading agriculture retail network that services over 500,000 grower accounts, we are well positioned to meet the needs of a growing world and create value for our stakeholders.
The Saskatchewan Canola Development Commission (SaskCanola) was established in 1991 as a grower-led organization to develop the canola industry in the province.
SaskCanola collects a levy from registered Saskatchewan canola growers to fund research and extension initiatives, advocate for favourable policy at both the provincial and national levels, and develop market opportunities domestically and internationally.
At Canadian Canola Growers Association (CCGA), our vision is “helping farmers succeed” and our mission is “to influence national and international issues, programs and policies to enhance the success of Canadian canola farmers”.
We aim to achieve these through our three areas of business:
We undertake policy development on issues affecting canola farmers, including transportation, trade, risk management, sustainability, crop inputs, and more.
We advocate for grower interests through direct representation to parliamentarians, legislators, and government officials.

The Western Grains Research Foundation (WGRF) is a farmer-funded and farmer-directed non-profit organization investing in agricultural research that benefits western Canadian producers. To date, we have invested more than $210 million to support diverse crop research projects.
Leaders from 12 farm organizations came together to create WGRF in 1981. Their vision was to establish a robust agricultural research funding organization, one that would consult farmers about what they needed, then work with research providers to fill that need. Today, WGRF invests over $12 million annually into variety development and field crop research.

The future of ag isn’t written at a desk. It isn’t decided from 9 to 5 in a highrise office behind walls of glass and concrete. It’s on the ground; up before dawn. It’s rough hands, nails black with grease and soil.
At WinField United Canada, we’re all about getting our hands dirty. Combining local understanding and world-class expertise, we provide independent ag retailers and their customers with products and services designed to fit their specific needs.
We focus on delivering what Canadian operations need, and stand behind the independent local retailers that help them get there. After all, no two seasons, regions, fields, or farmers are identical. And no one knows what an operation needs like those on the ground.

It’s been over 155 years since growers and sellers started coming together in our first grain warehouse. These days, we connect people around the world. But we keep things local. Only by building trusting relationships with a range of partners can we fulfil our purpose: to nourish the world in a safe, responsible, sustainable way.
Today, the need to make our food system more sustainable and resilient is urgent. From our seat at the center of the agricultural supply chain, we have a unique ability — and responsibility — to help. Now is the moment. And our global team is heeding the call, innovating with purpose to empower our partners and communities.
We’re working with farmers to increase regenerative agriculture and reduce environmental impact. We’re creating everyday earth-friendly items, like feed that reduces methane emissions and waste-based renewable fuels. And we’re harnessing the power of technology, using artificial intelligence to keep animals healthier while making producers more productive.
As we envision the future we can create together, we reflect on the values that have steered us from the start. We put people first. We reach higher. We do the right thing — so our customers can succeed, and our communities thrive. It’s a long-term view that guides us to listen, adapt and remain resilient as the world sprints forward.
It’s also how we’ll meet the changing needs of the people we call neighbors and the planet we call home — today and for generations to come.
